Coach Harry Kewell was full of praise for Do Hoang Hen's display following Hanoi FC's 2-1 win against CAHN.
Coach Harry Kewell gave many compliments to striker Hoang Hen – who scored a double to help Hanoi FC defeat Cong An Hanoi 2-1. He emphasized the special role of his student in the Capital derby: "Today Hoang Hen did the hardest work of the match. He ran a lot and is a great talent. He also scored a double and is very important for us. As I said earlier, this is the most interesting match I've seen and I love this."
The Australian strategist said the victory over CAHN came from the coaching staff's thorough preparation. According to him, Hanoi FC built many different tactical plans before the match, including backup plans to respond to situations arising on the field.
Coach Kewell revealed that the backup plan actually proved effective in this encounter. Hanoi FC proactively limited CAHN's ball-control strength and blocked long passes behind the defense – a familiar weapon of the police force team.
Thanks to the players' tactical discipline, Hanoi FC controlled the game well for most of the time. Hoang Hen's two goals helped the purple-shirted team build a big advantage before CAHN narrowed the score in stoppage time.
Commenting on the professional quality of the derby, Coach Kewell believed this was one of the most exciting matches he had witnessed since working in V.League. According to him, the two teams displayed two different football styles but both brought drama and high quality.
The 1978-born tactician also praised the dedicated spirit of both teams. He thought such matches would help fans see the quality of V.League more clearly and create necessary excitement for the league.
