According to MARCA, Real Madrid has reached an agreement to extend its partnership with Emirates airline until the end of the 2030/31 season. This is considered one of the most important commercial assets for the Spanish Royal club.
Initial information was revealed by the website 2Playbook, stating that the Dubai-based airline will continue to serve as Real Madrid's main sponsor for another five seasons after the current contract ends.
According to MARCA, the new agreement will bring Real Madrid approximately 74 million euros per year, significantly higher than the guaranteed revenue from the previous contract.
A notable point in the new contract is the expanded scope of cooperation. Previously, the Emirates logo appeared on the front of the shirts of Real Madrid's men's and women's first teams, but the new agreement also includes the club's basketball team.
The timing of this contract extension is seen as crucial for the leadership headed by President Florentino Perez, especially given recent financial reports from Real Madrid showing a rather complex financial situation.
Although the club's total revenue reached 618 million euros, net profit dropped by 80%, down to 5 million euros. The main reason stems from heavy spending on the squad. Specifically, investment in the team increased by 26.2%, with salary costs rising by 35 million euros and amortization costs for player transfers increasing by 20 million euros.
Additionally, commercial revenue in the first half of the 2025/26 season also decreased by 11.7% compared to the same period, falling to 223.6 million euros. The club stated that this decline is related to the termination of a long-term partnership agreement with Providence.
In this context, successfully securing a deal worth 74 million euros per year with Emirates helps Real Madrid partially offset financial difficulties and ensures stable revenue for the club for many years ahead.
