On the evening of March 5, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) issued an urgent announcement stating it has acknowledged the ruling from the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) regarding FAM (Malaysia) and several players concerning violations of FIFA's Disciplinary Code.

"The Asian Football Confederation has acknowledged the CAS ruling on March 5 regarding the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and several players concerning violations of FIFA's Disciplinary Code.
This matter will be referred to the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee. AFC does not comment on ongoing investigations and/or proceedings of the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee."
AFC is expected to annul the results of two official matches, including Malaysia's 2-0 win over Nepal on March 25, 2025, and their 4-0 win over Vietnam on June 10, 2025.
The Malaysian national team is scheduled to face the Vietnamese national team in the final Group F match of the 2027 Asian Cup third qualifying round on March 31.
Prior to this match, the AFC Disciplinary and Ethics Committee will impose disciplinary defeats for the aforementioned Malaysian matches with a 0-3 scoreline, causing their current 15 points to be reduced by 6 points, leaving them with only 9 points.

The Vietnam U23 National Team will hold its first training camp of 2026 in Hanoi to prepare for upcoming international duties.
In this call-up list, SLNA Club has 4 players included: goalkeeper Cao Van Binh, defender Le Nguyen Hoang, defender Nguyen Quang Vinh, and midfielder Le Dinh Long Vu. According to the plan, the players will train from March 17 to April 1, 2026.
This training camp for the Vietnam U23 team aims to prepare for the CFA Team China 2026 international football tournament, taking place from March 25 to 31 in Xi'an City (China). The tournament features four teams: China U23, Vietnam U23, Thailand U23, and North Korea U23.
